60s evening dress conversion

Another one I made before I started this blog…

Years and years ago I found a 60s evening dress at an op-shop and liked how it fitted. I pulled it apart and made a pattern from it and put it back together so I could still wear it to fancy dress parties. This pic is from a party in 2004. Slightly embarrassing now. Check the ‘Elizabeth Taylor’ wig and glitter fake lashes!

I’ve made a couple of tops from this pattern now. I know it is unusual to have such fitted tops made from woven fabric, but hey, I just do what I want. Let’s call it an experiment.
